Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (“CIP”) has reached financial close on the Chang Fang and Xidao Offshore Wind Farms, off the coast of Changhua County, Taiwan.
The 589 MW wind farm will feature 62 x 9.5MW turbines from MHI Vestas and be constructed through the use of a mix of international and local suppliers, thereby ensuring that lessons learned and best industry practice from Europe will be combined with local knowledge and culture to the benefit of the project and the development of an offshore wind supply chain in Taiwan.
JUMBO Consultancy Group is proud to have taken part in the journey by providing procurement and contract management services together with CIP and our client, Copenhagen Offshore Partners, overcoming the many challenges entailed in project development in a new market with demanding local requirements and a regulatory framework still in its infancy.
